STADT LEAN Drive is a patented AC Drive solution for control of big electrical motor loads. Especially developed for marine propulsion systems where it can be used on any propeller with controllable pitch.
STADT LEAN Drive is extremely reliable and offers a long lifespan of 30 years or more. This durability is achieved by using fewer components in the drive system, as well as different parallel power technologies that are redundant to each other.

These unique features are achieved by using a combination of a multi-speed motor, transistors (VFD), thyristors (RVS) and circuit breakers (BP) together with a controllable pitch propeller (CPP), where we use the different technologies in sequence and where they are best. With the STADT LEAN Drive we achieve a robust and reliable drive system where the dependence of critical components is reduced to a minimum, while the redundancy is increased.
